Welcome!  I look forward to working with you as your counseling therapist.  There are a few guidelines that I expect clients to maintain in order for our relationship to work.

Sessions  The standard session hour is 50 minutes.  Double sessions can be arranged.

Changes/Cancellations   There is no charge for changing an appointment as long as it is done 24 hours in advance.  Missed appointments will be charged the regular session fee.

Phone calls   It is possible to arrange a session hour from the comfort of your own home.  This is to be arranged in advance in coordination with me.  Fees for such an arrangement shall be the same as a regular session hour and are payable in advance of the call, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon.

Between appointments  If you feel the need to discuss an issue that cannot wait until the next appointment, I will be there for you by either taking your call as I become available that day, or I will return your call within 24 hours.  Please limit your call to no more than 5-10 minutes.  There will be no charge for these calls.

Communication   It is highly important to have an open, trusting working relationship between us.  I don't proclaim to know how you may feel in any given circumstance.  I will be depending on you to clearly express what it is that needs to be addressed so that I could maximize the facilitation of your resolving or handling the issue at hand.

Fees   For individuals/couples:  400 NIS (Plus VAT) payable at the conclusion of each session by either cash or check.  Post-dated checks are not accepted.  In U.S. dollars, the fee is $130 per session.  Pay Pal and credit card options available via website.

Handwriting analysis This entails a one-time separate fee of 900 NIS (plus VAT) or $350 U.S.

Coming on time   Please be vigilant regarding arriving on time for each session so that the appointment schedule does not get backed up.

Assignments  Often I will assign "homework" to be completed between sessions.  Depending on the nature of the issue at hand, this might come in the form of reading, writing, obtaining information, or trying out something new.

Confidentiality  I make every effort to keep all information confidential. Likewise, if we are working online together, I ask that you determine who has access to your computer and electronic information from your location. This might include family members, co-workers, supervisors and friends. I encourage you to only communicate through a computer that you know is safe, i.e. wherein confidentiality can be ensured. Be sure to fully exit all online counseling sessions and emails.

Litigation Limitation  Due to the nature of the therapeutic process and the fact that it often involves making a full disclosure with regard to many matters which may be of a confidential nature, it is agreed that should there be legal proceedings (such as, but not limited to divorce and custody disputes, injuries, lawsuits, etc.), neither you (client) nor your attorney, nor anyone else acting on your behalf will call on me to testify in court or at any other proceeding, nor will a disclosure of the psychotherapy records be requested.

Click here for informed consent form.  This form should be filled out and forwarded to me for those interested in online therapy via phone or skype.  Once received, I will contact you to make arrangements for payment and to confirm an appointment.

Why Did God Put Us Here?

It is easy to go through the motions of our days, weeks, months and years and not ask ourselves "What is it that God wants from me"?

Things You Hate To Do

A former professor of mine told me that if you have something unpleasant to do, don't put it ...
